Since their humble beginnings entering the scene around 2020, Jaevin and Clay have been making quite the name for themselves across Naarm (Melbourne) where they’re based. With a playful, vibrant sound comprising mainly of driving 90’s and early 2000’s progressive house, this iconic duo has ensured the consistent, mesmerising energy of any dancefloor lucky enough to see them play.

Over the years they’ve supported the likes of Haiku Hands, Jennifer Loveless and Moopie just to name a few; playing countless, notable parties such as Confide, Neurotiq Erotiq and Diega. Alongside their extensive repertoire of supporting gigs, Jaevin also runs the well esteemed ‘Ultraviolet’: a community-centred party held at beloved Miscellania, with queer, femme & gender non- conforming artists in the spotlight. These parties are not for the faint hearted, with the dancefloor repeatedly heaving, and attendees unable to keep their arms by their sides, enthralled by sets from artists like Maara, Tornado Wallace, Spray, Millu & Pjenne.

It seems that 2025 will find Activator continuing to impress dance floors across the state, whether it be at Pitch or Waxo Paradiso, the new Solace club or Jaevin’s Ultraviolet, there’s never a shortage of an Activator show. Alongside their impressive repertoire of shows, their TSBU and Animalia online mixes alike will have you entranced from afar. Whatever you do, don’t sleep on these two as it’s safe to say they’ve only scratched the surface of what’s to come.
