Born and raised away from the metropolitan environment, AWHM originated from the Australian capital of Canberra - before embarking on a permanent migration to Berlin in 2019 where he has embraced the opportunity to refine his sonic direction.

A dedicated consumer and creator of trance music, AWHM’s production style draws clear influence from old school goa, psytrance, jungle breaks, and tekno, most easily recognised by his ability to combine driving basslines, hypnotic rhythms, and scattered percussions to transport audiences through uncharted psychedelic realms of fast trance music. Evolutionary by nature, he’s managed to leverage extensive experiences that led to a self-taught studio process which now stands out in one of the more niche corners of electronic music.

Following his breakout Lunar EP on Techlab.bp, which premiered on the almighty CRUDE (Berlin) platform in early 2024, scene colleague Alpha Tracks commissioned three exclusive remixes for his subscription series — demonstrating AWHM’s sound range and laying the groundwork for future releases for the likes of Berlin-based label No Borders.

Towards the latter stages of 2024, AWHM’s self- released Malevolence EP signalled the next adaptation of his sound to birth the lovechild of haunting soundscapes, galloping psytrance-inspired basslines and heavy tekno-esque kicks.

A sound that’s best experienced on high-fidelity systems, an AWHM set connects deeply, blending clarity and impact.
