Cloudy Ku

Cloudy Ku is a Taiwan-born, Naarm / Melbourne-based DJ, musician and label head of HER 他 and SPEED速度.

 

A breathtaking catalyst in the electronic music scene, her DJ sets bring her sublime soundscapes to the underground music scenes throughout Asia and Australia.

 

As a DJ, she fuses her vast love of techno, trance and experimental music into her own unique Gabber blend. Ku also hosts a radio programme on Hong Kong Community Radio and frequently delivers sets at Naarm venue

Hope St Radio.

 

Her daring live mixes and outstanding musical knowledge has seen her billed on major events such as Organik Festival, Smoke Machine and FORMOZ, as well as headline sets for Australian clubs and labels such as Xe54, Sub Club and Miscellania.

 

A highly successful 2023 tour saw her playing and showcasing her labels HER 他 and SPEED 速度 across Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and South Korea, and performing throughout Europe’s institutional venues. Cloudy is looking to build upon this momentum and continue to share her high energy and passion with as many different outlets as possible.

Her mixtapes and live sets have also captured the attention of the fashion and digital art worlds, featuring on the runway for Offical London Fashion Week, as well as collaborations with Lu Yang and AsiaTOPA at ACMI presenting ‘DOKU', Jenn LEE ‘Love Buttons’ VR game for London Fashion Week (Sound Design) and international VR Rave crews Klub Kidul and Loner.

 

Through her work with HER 他, Ku strives to promote equality in the community for local and international artists through discourse and dance parties, exploring issues of women and gender equality while supporting all who contribute to the music and art communities.

 

Cloudy also strives to create a unified community in hard electronic dance music, with her fellow event series - SPEED 速度 - that focuses on equality, community and safety as well as a coming together of all genres of hard and fast electronic music.

 

Ku is now inspired by a different culture and a luscious electronic music scene, continuing the momentum that has earned her the attention of both music fans and international labels alike.
