Miki

Naarm/Melbourne-based, and of Fijian Indian heritage, Miki is a DJ who has firmly established herself as a vibrant presence in our local scene in only a few years.
Miki’s strong sense of self is evident in all she does, and is particularly embodied in her sound, which is cheeky, carefree, yet deeply considered. Miki’s versatility as a DJ is clear in her ability to elevate any given setting through her selections, from the most chill, through to high energy club environments. Miki’s sets are an unpretentious moodboard of the music she loves, imploring you to reimagine how you thought certain genres and sounds should work together. In the club, she’ll often move through glitchy tech, rare 2000s progressive house, electro and bass, before dropping a long-forgotten club anthem at the exact moment you need it.
Meanwhile, Miki’s already impressive catalogue of mixes are a testament to her aptness at storytelling, which are known to traverse lush electronica, hip hop, and tripped-out downtempo, through to slinky minimal and broken beats.
Miki has also been making waves overseas, having spent time in the US and Europe in 2024. During this time, Miki played sets at The Lot Radio in New York and Kiosk Radio in Brussels, while also performing at Brooklyn-based club, The End.
Back home, Miki has played at some of the most treasured parties in Naarm/Melbourne over the last few years such as Animalia, Ultraviolet, Techworld, Paper Cuts, and festivals such as Zeerust and the inaugural Home Sick on New Years’ Day 2024. We can’t wait to see what’s next for Miki — an undoubted rising star to keep an eye on.
